 DDS ENGINEERING, PLLC was selected to design an eighteen hole miniature golf course adjacent to the new campground store facility. We designed the course using a nautical theme: greens designed in shapes to be reminiscent of life rings, boats and paddles, and the decorative amenities to evoke navy/nautical elements. Obstacles in and around the course are to be of native materials. Play starts and ends on ADA accessible holes. A shallow stream is created by a water fall, meanders through the course and culminates in a small pond, and landscape areas are planted with native tree, shrubs and perennials. Earth mounds between the holes are a key part of creating and interesting and fun course. Water service is available at 2 hydrants. Light posts are spaced to light to each green and the connecting sidewalks for night time play, and the fixtures are equipped with cut off lens to prevent off-course light pollution. The course will be open in Spring of 2008!
